Welcoming our Reyneke Reserve White 2022! We're particularly proud of this exceptional Sauvignon Blanc with a #TimAtkin score of 96 and a #Vinous score of 92. For this limited-edition wine, we carefully selected grapes from specially chosen parcels within our organic vineyards. With a vibrant nose featuring lime, lemon, kiwi, elderflower, and a hint of flint, the palate is characterised by zesty lime, tropical kiwi, and litchi, complemented by subtle white flowers. We are pleased to share that Reyneke Wines was one of four South African companies selected to receive grant support through the South African Industry Adaptation (SAIA) project. The project, which works hard to strengthen climate resilience, protect the environment and natural resources, respond to changing climate challenges, and prepare for the future, is funded by the Government of Flanders and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA) and the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). SAIA specifically focuses on water-energy nexus projects in the agro-processing sector with a view to sharing and replicating the learnings. Ahead of the Conference on Climate Adaptation for South African Industries, we hosted members of UNIDO South Africa at Reyneke Wines to share our work and how we're shaping a better tomorrow for the planet and its people. In particular, Johan showcased how Reyneke is an industry leader in mitigating climate change in viticulture and agriculture. Reyneke’s 2020 Biodynamic Chenin Blanc grapes are from our oldest vineyard blocks on the farm, planted in 1974 and 1976 respectively, and are now being enjoyed in Tournon-sur-Rhone, in the south of France, at Le Moderne.
