Salih Hendricks, Diabetes and Amputee advocate from South Africa, contributed to the Global experiences and personal narratives on diabetes technology and access in the latest issue of Diabetologia. Diabetologia is the official journal of EASD (European Association for the Study of Diabetes). Salih Hendricks points out the critical need for accessible and affordable technologies. ‘It is imperative to guarantee that these technologies are inexpensive, accessible, and easy to use for those with diabetes, irrespective of their technological proficiency or socioeconomic background’, he says.
