Rwanda announces master plan for EV infrastructure Rwanda’s Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA) wants to see that no car travels more than 50 kilometres without having a place to plug in. It is working on a ‘masterplan’ to install EV charging stations across the country. Last month, we had the privilege of hosting #SMAsummit 2024, a platform that brought together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to shape the future of smarter mobility. Loop’s solutions, including Tap-to-Phone and Chat-to-Pay via WhatsApp.   ➡️ Waxed Mobile: Offers a biometric-based payment system for MBT users, allowing commuters to make payments using fingerprint authentication or QR codes.   ➡️ SA Pay: Primarily serves the MBT sector by providing low-cost mobile payments improving access to secure, cost-effective payment options in regions underserved by traditional banks. In a week that saw: ⚡️a Roam electric motorcycle ride 6,000km from Nairobi, Kenya to Stellenbosch, South Africa; ⚡️a fleet of electric cars drive 2200km from Joburg to Cape Town; ⚡️and at #SAAutoWeek the Hon. Cyril Ramaphosa the President of South Africa signal some steps forward towards introducing policies to support electric vehicle manufacturing and domestic consumption… We thought it would be a great time to share the interview that our Group Director of Mobility, Ben Pullen did with the former Head of Public Affairs and Product Support at Roam, Dennis Wakaba.
