Schauenburg Systems has partnered with SDC | Skills Development Corporation since 2021 to implement learnership initiatives that provide free education to 140 unemployed and disabled learners. This initiative aims to empower the diverse Youth of South Africa by enrolling a group of learners from various backgrounds. Through this sponsored learning program, Schauenburg Systems seeks to create brighter futures by helping learners acquire the skills and knowledge needed to enter the mainstream economy. The project ensures that learners are equipped with skills that are regarded as scarce and critical in South Africa. These skills will be applied in economic areas where there is a demand for well-rounded individuals. This initiative not only contributes to the fight against national unemployment but also uplifts the communities where the beneficiaries reside. Learners have successfully gained competencies in a range of essential knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. These include gathering and analysing information, assessing events that impact a business and its competitive environment, complying with organisational standards, negotiating in a work setting, understanding the role of business strategy as it applies to junior management, managing budgets within specific areas of responsibility, and much more. At SDC, our goal is for each learner to become a knowledgeable full-time employee and take an active role in the economy. We strive to make a meaningful difference in transforming aspirations into prosperous futures. We are a Level 1 Contributor with 51% Black Female ownership, and are an accredited learning institution specialising in Training and Learnership initiatives focused on the B-BBEE codes of good practice. We render excellent and affordable need-specific training to all companies. We then connect these initiatives to our clients B-BBEE needs and customise our model accordingly so that we can accommodate our clients with an onsite or off site solution. Through our strategically specialised structure, we can run any number of abled or disabled learners in any industry, either employed by organisations or source unemployed candidates. Being an accredited training provider we ensure that our clients are eligible for the TAX rebate of R80’000 per abled learner and R120’000 per disabled learner, referred to in Section 12H of the Income TAX Act of South Africa.
