Notes on Ray2 infra - we made the decision to launch for paid users only anticipating that there weren't enough GPUs around to handle free trials yet. Turns out Ray2 is ridiculously more popular and that thousands of GPUs aren't even sufficient to handle paid demand. So, here's the plan - 1. We are bringing online some of our training GPUs to run inference to increase capacity by a few thousand. 2. We will raise the priority of folks on "unlimited plan" to same level as "enterprise" as a way to help advance some workloads. 3. We are working with our partners to increase base inference capacity to meet market demand. Once we are able to serve paid demand, we will bring Ray2 up for free trial.

AI is not a quick fix There’s a growing belief that AI is some magical shortcut - faster, cheaper, and capable of replacing entire creative teams. But the reality is that these tools require understanding, iteration, and patience to create anything truly great. This week, I spent four days refining a single AI-generated image. Four days of tweaking, testing, and refining - not just pressing a button and walking away. Yet, many people are jumping on the AI bandwagon, churning out content quickly and mistaking speed for quality. Just because AI helped you generate something doesn’t mean it’s good. AI is an amplifier, not a replacement. It can help a farmer design a logo, but it won’t make them a great designer overnight. It can generate ideas, but without a human eye for detail, storytelling, and refinement, the output often falls flat. If you’re serious about using AI creatively, put in the work. Learn the tools. Iterate. Treat it as a craft. The best creations aren’t the ones made fast. They’re the ones made well.
