Grateful to be part of this incredible journey with The Noakes Foundation and our amazing teams! Wishing everyone a restful festive season and a fresh start in the new year! 🌟
We celebrated another year doing the good (hard at times!) work. It's soon my ten years at The Noakes Foundation and of course, since then the many incredible things that have come from it, especially Nutrition Network and Eat Better South Africa! I am frantically wrapping up the long to do lists that seem to come along with taking a rest break preparing for some summer HolyDays and good African sunshine with family and loved ones: I and we wish you all the Very best for this festive season and the visioning of this next year. I am so proud of all We have accomplished - not just us in this pic, but all around us, not there, our partners and ultimately You that allow us to continue to do the big important work we know we Must. I want to remind you that, in case you may have forgotten: "In the end, it's all about people. It's about how you make them feel, how you treat them, and how you help them grow." - Howard Schultz L to R pic 1: Travis Noakes, Jayne Bullen, Candice Egnos, Martizy Hulley, Lasca De Kock, Karen Heath, Jana Retief, Hassina Kajee, Simakazi Vazi, Kelsey Buchalter, Adam Pike, Bronwyn Harker L to R pic 2: Maritza Hulley, Georgina Pujol-Busquets Guillen, PhD, Simakazi Vazi, Jayne Bullen, Lasca De Kock, Jana Retief, Candice Egnos, Bronwyn Harker and many others on our global teams of course, not pictured but present in our massive Gratitude!

Over the past two days, our teams have had the joy of coming together, and it’s been nothing short of magical. We've spent time doing what truly fills our hearts—connecting with one another, sharing stories that make us laugh, exchanging ideas that inspire, and preparing beautiful low-carb, fresh meals (of course!). And, as we raised our glasses, we did so in deep gratitude—for each other, for the work we do, and for the incredible journey we’re all on together. But more than the delicious food and good company, what truly stood out was the opportunity to pause and honor the extraordinary people and organizations that make everything we do possible. It’s the unwavering support of those around us that keeps us moving forward, even in the toughest times. From The Noakes Foundation to Nutrition Network to Eat Better South Africa, we are surrounded by individuals who are not just taking bold, brave steps—we are dreaming big. Together, we share more than just a mission; we share a vision for a future filled with possibility, hope, and meaningful change. In a world that often feels divided, it's a true gift to work alongside people who believe, as we do, that together we can make a difference. We are so incredibly grateful for each person who stands with us. Here’s to the journey ahead and the amazing things we will continue to create, hand in hand. "..studies have shown that boosting ketone bodies through diet, exercise and supplementation can be good for brain health and cognition, both in rodents and humans" A good study and article that highlights how the carb restriction dietary model works for a panacea of the current neurological & mental health conditions we are seeing. Why? The answer is simple and pretty much always the same: because the diet currently eaten by most of the world has moved in a direction that is not correct for human or brain health. So, it needs to change. That is all. Nutrition Network and The Noakes Foundation
What an Amazing Two Days! As we wrap up the year, we’ve been fortunate to celebrate in meaningful ways: Day 1: We had the privilege of joining our friends at Nutrition Network and Eat Better South Africa! for a cooking class at the beautiful Ginger & Lime food studio. We learned how to create low-carb meals, experimented with incredible ingredients, and got hands-on experience making delicious, nutritious food. It was a truly inspiring day! Day 2: We came together for a heartfelt farewell to the year, reflecting on all we’ve accomplished and looking forward to what’s ahead. To everyone who has supported us—our partners, friends, and community—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your encouragement, kindness, and belief in our mission have been invaluable. At The Noakes Foundation, we are committed to growing, learning, and making an even bigger difference in the coming year. Here’s to health, happiness, and progress! Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 💙
