Effective 1 January 2025, we took responsibility of managing Ducati South Africa’s retail operations - importing of motorcycles, parts and accessories in South Africa. The Ducati brand now joins Volkswagen, Audi and VW Commercial Vehicles in our portfolio.    In addition, three dealer sites will be located in Gauteng, Western Cape, and KwaZulu Natal to expand Ducati’s footprint.   Francesco Milicia, Director: Global Sales & After Sales at Ducati Motor Holding Spa commented: "South Africa is the ideal environment for our motorcycles range, either for track use, on twisty roads or gravel. The Touareg carried us effortlessly from city streets to the heart of the wilderness, where we paused to breathe, reflect, and connect. A mindful journey unfolded - guided journaling, creative clay art, and a grounding breathwork session beneath the trees, with a rhino peacefully nearby. These moments of stillness reminded us that true luxury is not only about where we go but how we experience the journey. Today at VW Indaba 2025, we marked a significant chapter in Volkswagen Group Africa's journey. From celebrating the 15th anniversary of Polo Vivo in South Africa to unveiling our strategic roadmap for the future, this event was a testament to Volkswagen's continued commitment to Africa's growth. A key highlight was the introduction of the new Golf PA, Tayron, T-Cross, Crafter, Polo Xpress, Motorsport racing cars including Ducati motorbikes, setting new benchmarks in both performance and sustainability. As we discussed our plans for electric mobility, we reaffirmed our dedication to creating a greener, more connected future for Africa. At VW Indaba, we also heard from thought leaders including Martina Biene, Chairperson and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Africa, who shared her vision for Volkswagen’s role in driving positive change through innovation, sustainability, and local impact. Under the shade of ancient trees, with a rhino peacefully nearby, we took a deep breath - grounding ourselves in the present. A guided journaling session encouraged reflection, while a hands-on clay art experience allowed creativity to flow. Each moment was about discovery, growth, and connection. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we set out on a breathtaking sunset game drive, a reminder that the journey to seeking more is as much about stillness as it is about exploration.
