Today on behalf of the Young African Entrepreneurs Institute - YAEI I am making contributions to a group of curriculum advisors from across South Africa (Department of Basic Education) towards integrating entrepreneurship in the curriculum. My focus is reflecting on the #YAEI x Absa Group #YouthEntrepreneurshipProgramme. African Entrepreneurship & Development Corporation

As the year progresses, we’re reminded of the beauty in the passage of time. Just last year, KYA Solutions was incubated by Young African Entrepreneurs Institute - YAEI and Absa Group, an experience that helped shape our journey. We successfully designed, built, and showcased our in-house hydroponic modular structures—an achievement that once felt surreal. Thinking back to my high school days (Kgapane High and Modubatse Secondary), this moment would have seemed like a distant dream. But that’s the essence of time: planting today for tomorrow’s harvest. At KYA Solutions, we are constantly chasing growth, pushing boundaries, and working towards a future where mine rehabilitation in South Africa is both innovative and sustainable. As we evolve, we remain committed to addressing the challenges that threaten both junior and large-scale mining operations. The long-term effects of mining demand proactive solutions, and we are proud to be part of the youth taking action. A heartfelt thank you to the entire KYA Solutions team for your dedication, and a special appreciation to Young African Entrepreneurs Institute - YAEI and Absa Group for their support in our journey. The CEO of Young African Entrepreneurs Institute - YAEI, Risuna Maluleke, headed a delegation to engage with the Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism, represented by MEC Makhosazane Masilela.
