This ‘penguin-cam’ is mounted on the animal’s back and shows the schools of fish that the penguins rely on for nourishment. In the last decade, the African Penguin population has decreased by 97%. Commercial fishing fleets have depleted stocks of sardines and anchovies on which the penguins depends while noise pollution from shipping and harbour development have also negatively affected the population. #SaveAfricanPenguins by signing the petition :https://lnkd.in/eBemW92F Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) Blue Marine Foundation BirdLife South Africa
