Femi Oke and Ziwani had a question for sent to me by Dinah Nalubega about you can #stretch your team yet in fun and trust filled way! Here are a few ideas, we can have a longer chat because my #passion is helping team leaders create teams that are fun and super productive! *Let them know #upfront that you intend on stretching not only them but you inclusive! All of you as a team! Something about a prepared mind that helps soften the blow that comes with sudden stretching. *Let them see what the advantage of stretching them is! What’s the #big picture, why are we being asked to put in more hours? Where are we going? Let them see the picture in your heart so they can run with you. *#Involve them in drafting the targets, setting the benchmarks! That way, everyone will know this is their project and not something that you are springing up on them! They will all hold each other accountable if one seems to slacken! *Agree on #fun but meaningful #rewards for each target hit! That way, there is something fun to look forward to at the completion of each step! And keep your word on this! *Allocate #yourself a good portion of the work too as a leader! Let them see you are also going to get your hands dirty side by side with them and you will win their trust. We can always get in touch for deeper discussions because there is a lot to say that can’t fit here! Jose

  • We are passionate about building communities where people can grow together. 🪴 However, we all have different backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, and worldviews that significantly impact our worldview and approach to life. To journey together effectively, we need common ground – a shared understanding of the theology that enables us to find God's vision for our work and calling. Recognising the need for a healthy theology of faith and work, we developed the Foundations for Redemptive Work Course. We invite you to join our upcoming Foundations Course— three virtual, evening sessions featuring engaging teachings, facilitated discussions, and an interactive workbook. 🎫 Get your ticket here and we'll see you starting on March 3: https://lnkd.in/g3pBSbMk

  • Our team had the opportunity to be together in-person last week (with the exception of the sorely missed Femi Oke) for some training, workshops, and awesome connecting time. As much as we've celebrated entering an exciting new season, approaching the unknown and uncharted can also be daunting and confusing. We were encouraged in some devotional time by the story of the Israelites crossing the Jordan—a powerful reminder of the courage and faith needed to step into God's plans. We're choosing to move forward with that same spirit, trusting in His leading and committing to wise stewardship. What are some ways to build trust and inspire courage when you're wanting to stretch your team? #ziwani #faithandwork #team

  • Is 'ethical' enough? This article from our Big Change series explores the powerful concept of "redemptive business," which goes beyond merely avoiding harm to actively transforming broken systems. Jonathan Wilson and Andy Crouch explain why ethical practices are essential but insufficient for achieving large-scale, sustainable change. Drawing on biblical principles and real-world examples, they demonstrate how the "I sacrifice, we win" approach unlocks greater possibilities, fosters restoration, and drives long-term positive change. https://lnkd.in/gHAzRzcj #redemptivebusiness #faithandwork #ziwani #ethicalbusiness
