Duties/Pligte
- Delivering or teaching assigned futures studiesand related modules within other postgraduate programmes in Stellenbosch Business School.
- Collaborating with staff to create and deliver a transformative learning experience for students in futures studies and generally for students at Stellenbosch Business School.
- Publishing and disseminating research in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals, high-impact books, and cases.
- Through teaching and research, promoting the social impact of Stellenbosch Business School.
- Supervising postgraduate research.
- Actively engaging in the Institute of Futures Research at Stellenbosch Business School.
- Actively engaging and participating in the activities of Stellenbosch University (SU) and School life.
(For Appointment As a Senior Lecturer)
- PhD in the field of futures studies awarded by a recognised university.
- Experience in teaching, delivery, assessment, and student support at the postgraduate level in the relevant subject area.
- Experience in the design and development of module content.
- A record of research or publication in nationally and internationally recognised, peer-reviewed journals
- Successfully completed postgraduate supervision.
- Good organisational and personal management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to creating impact through research and scholarship.
- PhD in the field of futures studies awarded by a recognised university.
- National and international recognition as a researcher.
- A sustained record of research and research publications in nationally and internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals.
- A record of past research and a future research agenda relevant to futures studies.
- Supervision and examination at PhD and master's levels.
- Teaching and the scholarship of teaching relevant to futures studies, with evidence of, or potential for academic leadership, of postgraduate programmes.
- Commitment to creating impact through research and scholarship.
- Academic management and leadership skills.
- Quantitative and qualitative evidence of teaching experience.
- Good organisational and personal management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Evidence of commitment to creating impact through research and scholarship.
- An international experience or network in futures research.
