Exciting News: CHAZ Laboratory’s Recommendation for International Accreditation Under ISO 15189:2022 Standard  We are thrilled to share that CHAZ Laboratory has been recommended for international accreditation under the newly revised ISO 15189:2022 standard, specifically under a molecular testing scope. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and we want to take a moment to explain what this means, why it’s significant, and how it aligns with CHAZ’s commitment to patient care and service excellence. What is ISO 15189:2022? ISO 15189 is an internationally recognized standard for medical laboratories, setting strict requirements for quality and competence. The 2022 revision emphasizes quality, risk management, and patient-focused outcomes more than ever before, especially in emerging and complex fields like molecular diagnostics. Achieving accreditation under this standard requires labs to operate with stringent controls and precision to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of testing results. Why is This Accreditation Important? 1. Assurance of High-Quality Standards: This standard is recognized worldwide, meaning CHAZ Laboratory now meets international benchmarks in molecular testing. Accreditation validates that our laboratory processes meet rigorous quality control measures, enhancing trust in our results from both patients and health professionals. 2. Improved Patient Care: Accurate and timely diagnoses are critical to effective patient care, especially in molecular testing, which informs precise treatment strategies. Measles – rubella vaccine is SAFE. A child may experience mild pain at the site of injection and sometimes a mild swelling and redness can occur at the injection site. The Ministry of Health with its Partners will be conducting measles-rubella supplementary immunization activities (MR SIA) in all 116 Districts, starting from Monday 23rd September 2024 to Saturday 28th September 2024.
