With a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Zambia, Dorcas’s academic journey includes valuable experiences at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland and the Max Planck Institute in Germany. These experiences have provided her with a strong foundation in problem-solving, organisation, and leadership. Combined with her passion for nurturing growth in others. Dorcas's background in tutoring Physics at the University of Zambia and mentoring students through the Jusenior Mentoring Network has equipped her with the ability to connect with teenagers effectively. She plays a pivotal role in fostering a structured and supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally. Her nurturing approach, adaptability, and commitment to motivating others contribute to creating a safe, positive atmosphere at Crucible Lusaka. Introducing the Economics Teacher: Mwewa Chalwe Meet Mwewa Chalwe, our Economics Teacher at Crucible Lusaka. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies with Education and is pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at the University of Zambia. With over six years of teaching experience, Mwewa specializes in Commerce, Accounts, Economics, and Business Management at national and international levels, including Cambridge A-Level and IB. He is passionate about helping students develop critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. Mwewa values Economics for its real-world relevance, equipping students to understand global markets and policy impacts. Meet our Administrative Assistant: Fage Kamana Meet Fage Kamana, an accomplished education administrator, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Studies focusing on Development Studies. Inspired by Crucible’s mission to prepare students as pioneering leaders for a prosperous Zambia, Fage sees the school as a “safe space for students to think differently and step out of their comfort zones.” Her diverse experiences in communications, healthcare, and education equip her to foster an environment of growth and innovation. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching thought-provoking content, and exploring new ideas. Introducing the Physics Teacher: Elias Mwape Meet Elias Mwape, our Lead Physics Teacher at Crucible Lusaka. Elias brings unparalleled expertise with an MPhil in Physics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Physics from the University of Ghana, along with a BSc.Ed in Physics from the University of Zambia. Currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Leadership at the African Research University, he combines academic excellence with a passion for empowering students. With over a decade of teaching experience at institutions such as the University of Zambia and David Kaunda National STEM School, Elias is well-equipped to guide students through the Cambridge A-Level curriculum, ensuring they excel academically and secure competitive university placements. Beyond the classroom, Elias is a mentor and role model, passionate about music and youth development. His dedication to faith, education, and leadership perfectly aligns with Crucible’s mission of shaping Zambia's future leaders.
