Empowering youth, particularly young men and boys, to challenge toxic norms can create long-lasting cultural change. Providing access to safe spaces, legal aid, and mental health services can transform the lives of survivors and help them rebuild. If you see someone being harassed online, don’t scroll past. Here’s what you can do: ✅ Report abusive comments or accounts to the platform. ✅ Support the victim by reaching out with kind words or publicly standing by them. ✅ Challenge harmful behavior if it’s safe to do so. Remember, silence enables abuse, but action creates change. #16Days#StopGVB#MeyanaFoundation

Femicide remains a global crisis affecting women and girls everywhere. In 2023, Africa saw the highest number of intimate partner and family-related killings, with 21,700 women losing their lives—equivalent to 2.9 victims per 100,000. The Americas and Oceania also reported alarmingly high rates, at 1.6 and 1.5 per 100,000, while Asia and Europe recorded lower rates, at 0.8 and 0.6 per 100,000. This year’s #16DaysOfActivism reminds us that these numbers represent real lives lost. We must take urgent action to end gender-based violence and demand accountability. 🧡 #EndFemicide #16Days #StopGBV UN WOMEN.
