🌾 Meet the Injabulo #women entrepreneurs of rural Lupane! With a $1,500 loan t, they invested in a drip irrigation system to tackle the El Niño drought. Now, they are diversifying their income by turning fresh produce into sauces and dried foods, supplying local schools and restaurants.
Thanks to generous funding from Ecobank Transnational Incorporated Zimbabwe, the Enhancing Women’s Economic Empowerment (EWEE) project, implemented by CARE Zimbabwe in partnership with Hand in Hand Zimbabwe, is helping these women boost their businesses, increase savings, and improve their livelihoods. 💪
This initiative supports 67 groups with 462 women and 87 men, offering accessible loans of $700 to $1,500—with no collateral required. So far, the groups have accessed a total of $66,825 in loans, along with financial literacy training, banking services and digital payments.
This project has also empowered individual women while fostering leadership and community engagement, paving the way for sustainable economic growth! 🌟 #EmpowerWomen #FinancialInclusion #EWEE
