Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in Petrochemical and Energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions for complex industrial projects. This individual should demonstrate expertise in electrical engineering principles, project management, and possess a deep understanding of safety standards and regulations within the petrochemical and energy sectors. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Design: Lead and contribute to the development of electrical design solutions for petrochemical and energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Perform detailed electrical calculations, prepare specifications, and generate design documentation for power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and control systems. Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and civil engineers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for electrical design tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to electrical engineering in petrochemical and energy projects. Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments related to electrical designs and propose mitigation strategies to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for petrochemical and energy projects. Professional Engineer Registration. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards. Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM). Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
