I was privileged and honored to be one of the panelists for Women in STEM Conference. I was selected based on my history in mentoring, advocating and breaking down barriers for Women. As a woman, being recognized is the first step, the greatest hurdle is delivering beyond the expectations as we are expected to outperform our male counterparts. I applaud the women who took the initiative to organize and host this successful conference. Our voices are being heard. Sicelo Dube Farai Mavhiya Joy Makumbe (Pr. Blockchain technology is a leading emerging technology useful in almost every industry. Blockchain technology is a way of storing and sharing data across a network of computers without a central authority or intermediary. It uses cryptography to link and secure blocks of data that contain records of transactions or events, creating a digital ledger that is transparent and immutable. Blockchain technology has many potential applications beyond cryptocurrencies, such as supply chain management, digital identity, smart contracts, voting systems, and healthcare records. Blockchain technology is not a single entity, but a family of different types of blockchains that vary in their design, governance, and purpose, such as public, private, hybrid, and consortium blockchains. The webinar is a crucial step towards being part of the global community who make use of blockchain technology. It is an introductory webinar of the global chapter that will expose you to an informative dialogue to enable awareness for future engagement. The dialogue will be led by WiBT founder and CEO Mme Lavinia Osborne from UK, who is well versed with anything to do with blockchain. Another speaker is Mme Alison Chiwara the WiBT Global Ambassador and the CEO of Human focused Ltd Corporate Mental Health and Business. WiBT and The Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers have collaborated to bring this technology to the greater Zimbabwe. Kindly register for the Zoom meeting https://lnkd.in/dMrzmfQF...
