Can’t Get You Out of My Head Lyrics
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
[Verse]
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, your loving is all I think about
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, it's more than I dare to think about
[Chorus]
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
[Verse]
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, your loving is all I think about
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, it's more than I dare to think about
[Pre-Chorus]
Every night, every day
Just to be there in your arms
Won't you stay? Won't you lay?
Stay forever and ever and ever and ever
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
[Verse]
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, your loving is all I think about
I just can't get you out of my head
Boy, it's more than I dare to think about
[Pre-Chorus]
There's a dark secret in me
Don't leave me locked in your heart
Set me free
Feel the need in me
Set me free
Stay forever and ever and ever and ever
[Chorus]
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la (I just can't get you out of my head)
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la (I just can't get you out of my head)
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la (I just can't get you out of my head)
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la (I just can't get you out of my head)
La-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
About
“Can’t Get You Out of My Head” is a song recorded by Kylie Minogue for her eighth studio album Fever, released as the lead single from the album.
The song finds Minogue expressing her love obsession with an anonymous figure, though their relationship with Minogue can be interpreted in a number of ways.
Writers and producers Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis initially wrote the song for S Club 7 when British artist manager Simon Fuller asked them to do so; he felt that the song wasn’t right for the group. The song was then offered to Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who also declined it, before it was offered to Kylie, who said she loved it instantly, with Cathy Dennis stating that she didn’t “believe it was meant to go to anyone other than Kylie”.

During an interview that appeared on the KylieFever2002 DVD, Kylie stated:
“Can’t Get You Out of My Head” was perfection… Before I’d even heard it through to the end of the song. It was perfect for me and for what I was looking for at that time. It was simple, it was cool and it was pop.
On a list of 30 of Kylie Minogue’s best singles, published on September 25, 2020, The Guardian ranked it as Kylie Minogue 3rd best single, saying:
It became so ubiquitous that it is easy to forget what a weird pop single Can’t Get You Out of My Head is: there are no verses, just a chorus and a queasy-sounding bridge; there is a distinct darkness about its coolly delivered lyric about destructive obsession. And the costumes in its video appear like an eery prediction of personal protective equipment.
