BACK2MYROOTS*

BACK2MYROOTS is the upcoming third studio album by Autumn!, what is anticipated to be his first major release of 2025 after April 2024’s Solitary 2 and July 2024’s You Never Was Mine. His first project after finalizing his two album contract with 10K Projects, it acts as the second of a three album trilogy expected to be released by Autumn! within the coming year(s).

It is expected that throughout the album, Autumn! will be going back to his older sound that made him breakout into the industry, after had experimenting with other sounds from his previous projects.

The album would be first teased on April 22nd, 2024 via Autumn!’s Instagram story, in which he would reply to a request for him to release his now most likely scrapped albums, R5 and Pretty Girls & Fast Cars, by saying:

— comparing himself to Drake and his albums Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind and For All The Dogs.

On June 29, 2024, Autumn! would accompany a snippet of “Just Face It!*” with the caption:

BACK2MYROOTS after YNWM 💿

— suggesting the potential project title. On July 8, he would then go on to reiterate this via a YouTube vlog on his I Be Crashing A Lot account, stating that, after the drop of You Never Was Mine, he was:

About to go on a crazy run. [He was] ‘bouta go on a crazy run after that, bruh, with the BACK2MYROOTS shit, like, that’s gon’ be basically like the Retribution shit but, like, rebranded

On July 15, he would continue with this on another vlog, talking about how he “wanted to do this little series,” and how, just as he did with his Retribution EPs, he was going to make lots of “little small projects.” He would then post a now deleted Instagram story, acknowledging requests for him to return to his old sound with:

On August 16, 2024, Autumn! would take to Instagram stories sharing a rough tracklist of the album, to which it contained notable tracks, such as “Passenger Princess!” and “One Way! 2.” He would then follow-up in another Instagram story that the album would be a surprise drop.

On October 19, 2024, Autumn! would take to Instagram stories sharing a potential artwork for BACK2MYROOTS, paying homage to his March 2019 breakout EP, ##R3 ##R3, using an image of the artwork for Parasyte Vol. 5.

After keeping quiet about the album’s information for some time, “Louie V Everything!” would then be released on October 25, 2024, serving as the album’s lead single. The remix of the song featuring Summrs would be released on November 5.

On November 17, 2024, in a series of Instagram stories, alongside through the public Instagram group chat, Autumn! revealed the album’s official tracklist. albeit not in the final order. Autumn! also did confirm that both “Breaking Bad!” and “No More Talking!” would both land on the album, making the tracklist have 18 tracks in total.

On November 25, 2024, Autumn! announced that he would be releasing a teaser EP titled B4B2MR, to which he teased a late 2024 release date. Autumn! would then reveal the December 12th release date shortly after, alongside a new single to be released next week.

On December 8, 2024, Autumn! teased a portion of the album’s potential cover art, with the background showing off all of Autumn!’s previous projects.

Autumn! would end up releasing the teaser EP ##B4B2MR on December 12, 2024, consisting of four new tracks, and would later be uploaded to all platforms on December 17.
