Sex Packets is the RIAA certified platinum debut studio album by hip-hop group Digital Underground, released on March 26, 1990. One of the earliest alternative hip-hop albums that came out of the golden age era of hip-hop, this album heavily draws upon funk and jazz influences. “Sex packets” (according to the legend on the album) are small pills stored in condom-sized packets, created so that astronauts could have sexual pleasure in a way that wouldn’t interfere with their mission.
