Madison Beer’s sophomore album, Silence Between Songs, is set to be released on September 15th, 2023.
The fourteen track tracklist includes four prior singles. The lead single being “Reckless”, which was released on June 4th, 2021. The single has Beer reflecting on old stories, which will be a common theme on the album. On Friday, August 26, 2022, Beer returned with a new single, “Dangerous”. A stunning and powerful ballad that marked the beginning of a new era. The third single, “Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You)”, was released on October 14, 2022. The track wasn’t only Beer’s first interpolation, but it also brought a new sound Beer hasn’t really experimented before. Beer wanted to experiment with new sounds on this album, and new ways of writing. Teased for months, “Home To Another One” was released on June 2nd, 2023, as the final single. On May 31st, 2023, two days before the release of “Home To Another One”, Beer confirmed and announced the album’s title, and release date.
When talking to Rolling Stone, Beer states:
Those moments in between the noise is when you’re able to reflect… I was able to look at things with a better perspective. That’s where these records came from… There are some serious songs on the album that are about really emotional and personal things to me…
I’ve learned so much about myself and my artistry on the journey of the last two years since my last record. This album tells the story of so many different pieces of me that I discovered in the moments of pause where I settled down from the noise and learned the most about myself. I hope my fans are as inspired listening to it as I was when creating it.

While talking to Lana Del Rey for Interview Magazine, Beer stated:
I feel very proud of it. I had actually turned in the album a couple of months ago, and I had a lot of pressure on me to get it done. There were like five songs on it that I didn’t think were good enough. They didn’t feel like they belonged there… But I was like, “If I don’t listen to myself and release a record I’m not 100 percent proud of, that’s going to sit with me much longer than any guilt I’ll feel from making this decision.” So I just said, “I have to come back in and redo some of these songs. If it doesn’t work, then fine, but I have to try.” We got five of my favorite records on the album.
