PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 is PARTYNEXTDOOR’s fourth full-length studio album. It’s a follow-up to his October 2020 EP, PARTYPACK, and serves as the fourth and final installment in his self-titled series, following his debut mixtape, PARTYNEXTDOOR, his debut album, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO, and his sophomore album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 3.
Following PARTY’s major commercial success in 2020, he went on hiatus for an extended period of time, during which he featured on just three songs. He returned to music in early 2023 with the release of “H e r O l d F r i e n d s,” leading fans to believe that an album was on the way.
In May 2023, while performing in Toronto, PARTY was joined on stage by Drake, who proceeded to announce his own It’s All a Blur Tour while also announcing that PND 4 was planned to release sooner rather than later:
I’m going on tour but Party droppin' PND 4.
This announcement was soon followed up by the release of the album’s second single just months later in “R e s e n t m e n t.” Following months of silence from PARTY, alongside several cryptic captions on social media, he again returned in March 2024 with the release of the album’s third single, “R e a l W o m a n.” On March 15—the night of the song’s release—PARTY performed at Rolling Loud California and announced the album’s release date during his performance. On April 2, PND officially shared the album’s artwork via his Instagram and confirmed the album’s release date.
Supported by the three singles, PND 4 is expected to carry a warm yet charismatically toxic R&B sound, supported by subtle rapping and cluttered pop throughout the project.
This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. This is the proudest I’ve felt. I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.
