Born in Guri, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 박지효 (Park Jihyo) better known as JIHYO, is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is member of Korean-Japanese girl group, TWICE, under JYP Entertainment.
JIHYO started training to become a singer at the age of 8. Many were surprised to find out JIHYO’s time training in JYP, making her have one of the longest training periods a trainee has trained in order to debut. Finally, on May 5th, 2015, JIHYO participated as an contestant on MNET reality show, SIXTEEN, and won ranking #7 which led to her debut in the group.
In 2023, JIHYO made her solo debut with the mini album, ZONE and it’s lead single, “Killin' Me Good,” on August 18th. She has also performed multiple OSTs for Korean dramas. JIHYO also starred on The King of Mask Singer versus SEVENTEEN’s DOKYEOM.
