Pete Townshend

AKA: Peter Townshend, Peter D. B. Townshend, and Peter Dennis Blandford Townshend

About Pete Townshend

Pete Townshend is best known as the lead guitarist and songwriter for British rock band The Who.

Townshend’s original style of songwriting, such as the use of a synthesiser on “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “Baba O'Riley”, has been appraised, and he is often considered one of the greatest songwriters of all time.

Townshend has also produced numerous albums, including The Who’s 2019 blockbuster album, WHO, and had solo hits like “Let My Love Open the Door”.

As well as this, he has partaken in numerous revealing newspaper articles about his false-arrest for possession of child pornography, which he only intended to use as research for a novel. In 2019, he released his debut novel, The Age of Anxiety.
