One Direction stars Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne have made a welcome return to the UK after their successful tour of America, Australia and New Zealand.
The Brit Award winning group have been out of the country since late February, when the boys first jetted off to America in their bid to make it big Stateside.
The 2010 X Factor finalists toured the country supporting US group Big Time Rush, also travelling to Canada as they attempted to become global sensations.
Harry, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Liam then headed to New Zealand and Australia and after playing a string of successful dates the group finally returned to Britain yesterday, where they were met by a large crowd of supportive fans.
Louis was also met by girlfriend Eleanor Calder, having earlier told her he ‘couldn’t wait’ for the pair to be reunited.
The 20-year-old this week admitted he was ‘really p****d off’ after fans had sent Eleanor pictures of his ex-girlfriend, but the pair looked pleased to be back together after their time apart.
The so-called ‘Directioners’ were out in force to welcome their idols after their arrival at Heathrow Airport, with the boys struggling to make it through the crowd of fans.
Clearly pleased to be home, the group were happy to pose for photos as they made their way through with their mountains of luggage – despite their evident jet lag.
Zayn looked to be particularly bleary-eyed after the long-haul flight, while Niall opted to keep his eyes hidden with a pair of dark sunglasses.
He later revealed he was looking forward to catching up on sleep, writing on Twitter: ‘Yessss! Back in london! Sleep for the next week, don’t wana see a sole.’
But he couldn’t resist watching Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Barcelona, revealing he had even been on the phone to Frank Lampard’s girlfriend Christine Bleakley.
After Chelsea had secured their place in the Champions League final, he wrote: ‘hahaha just spoke to @clbleakley never heard screams like it haha..’
The group now have one month back in England before they fly back to the US, with 1D set to play 23 dates across North America starting at Fairfax’s Patriot Center on May 24.
