The new music for the upcoming film has been teased on JK Rowling’s website Pottermore.
Eddie Redmayne was adorably picky about his Fantastic Beasts wandCalling all witches and wizards! Dust off your wands, pull on your capes, insert your headphones and immerse yourself back into the magical world of Potter.
Hot on the heels of the bewitching play Harry Potter And The Cursed Child is Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find them, the JK blockbuster heading to the big screen this winter.
If the shift in temperature hasn’t been enough to set off your wizarding senses, then this theme tune sure will.
Produced by the incredibly talented Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer James Newton, the main theme tune captures the essence of Potter perfectly. In fact, at the very beginning the original theme tune is featured.
In the Pottermore post, they said: ‘As you’ll hear, the song starts out with a familiar tune. One that’ll make you shiver with nostalgia: a few bars of Hedwig’s Theme, and we’re swept into the new main title track for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.’
They continued: ‘Like the movie, it’s epic, dramatic, playful and beautiful.’
Newton also spoke with Pottermore and said: ‘You hear this haunting kind of theme. If you had to say what is the theme for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them for now and in the future, it would be that theme.’
The soundtrack will be available this November, and will feature 72 minutes of music, including songs such as There Are Witches Among Us, Pie Or Strudel and Gnarlak Negotiations.
There will also be a deluxe edition which will be nearly 100 minutes long and feature a massive 26 songs. Merlin!
Starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Colin Farrell, the blockbuster is based on J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world and set in the Harry Potter universe.
The film will follow magizoologist Newt Scamander’s adventures in New York City in the 1920s as he searches for magical creatures, whilst trying not to cause too much havoc on the way…
Not long to wait now either, as Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be hitting cinemas November 18.
