Labour MP Yvette Cooper has revealed the everyday cost of husband Ed Balls’ antics on Strictly Come Dancing – and says he is constantly crashing into furniture as he practices for the BBC show.
As she appeared on Good Morning Britain, Yvette recalled how Ed unexpectedly collided with the kitchen cooker while practicing a ‘wild’ routine.
Sorry, this video isn't available any more.
‘Early on he was doing a lot of practicing in the kitchen’, Yvette said. ‘But the trouble is now that the dances have got wilder and wilder, he just bumps into the kitchen cooker so it doesn’t work.’
Oh, Ed.
But he’ll need all the practice he can possibly get as he prepares to dance the Tango to (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones on Saturday night.
Strictly Come Dancing producers are ‘plotting to axe Ed Balls’ with dance twistAs it draws ever closer to the final, it seems like Ed could face a battle to remain in the competition.
He’ll be undertaking a second performance where he will dance the cha cha cha – and it could leave him at the bottom of the leaderboard.

‘The challenge is almost definitely set to place Ed bottom of the judge’s leaderboard’, a source told The Sun.
‘He’s the worst dance on paper and even if he nails his rehearsed dance, he’s set to be voted off by judges.’
Maybe Yvette could find it in herself to sacrifice the dishwasher too, if it means Ed staying in the competition?
