Chelsea and Liverpool lead a host of European clubs in the race for Uruguay wonderkid Gustavo Viera.
The 16-year-old striker has been likened to compatriot Luis Suarez and recent comments from his parent club’s sporting director suggest a move to the Premier League is on the horizon.
‘I think Europe he could go in a short while,’ Gonzalo Mattos of Liverpool – the Uruguayan Primera Division club – told the Sun.
‘Of course he can play in Premier League.’
Viera recently broke into the Liverpool first team and has been playing for the Uruguay under-17s side.

Mattos believes the youngster’s physicality means he would be well-suited to the English game.
‘Fundamentally for two reasons,’ he added in regards to a possible move.

The centre-forward revealed last year that he is a fan of both Chelsea and Liverpool, handing those clubs a possible advantage in the transfer market.
‘I like of course Luis Suarez from his time in Liverpool. Liverpool and Chelsea are my two favourite teams. I enjoyed the physical side of the English game,’ he said.
‘It’s a top league and I like London, my agent lives there and I have been to stay there with him. I would like to play for either Liverpool or Chelsea but just to play in the Premier League is a dream of mine.
