Nick Knowles hints he had a secret fling with Natalie Imbruglia and our minds are blown

Nick Knowles just got loose-lipped about a possible past dalliance with none other than Natalie Imbruglia.

The DIY SOS star, 56, claims to have had a secret hook up with the Australian singer, 44 – nothing major, he wouldn’t call it a ‘thing’ – that none of us knew anything about.

Letting slip about the alleged romance on Chris Moyles’s Radio X podcast, Nick praised the ‘beautiful’ and ‘bright’ musician.

‘I wouldn’t describe it as a thing,’ he said, with a coy air. ‘Well, we were friends. It was a long time ago. She’s very beautiful and very bright and very funny.

‘We went up to Edinburgh to do the G8 summit – she was part of the Comic Relief show. We’ve done various stuff.’

Representatives for Natalie Imbruglia have been contacted by Metro.co.uk for comment.

Natalie, who has been a British citizen since 2013, was married to Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns between the years of 2003 and 2008.

The singer’s last reported appearance at the G8 Summit was in 2005 and she is now dating photographer Matt Field, but was formerly romantically linked to David Schwimmer, Chris Martin and Prince Harry.

Previously, Nick was left red-faced when achingly cool music stars Biffy Clyro denied ever having a jam session with him, despite Nick boasting to the nation about it on I’m A Celebrity.

Nick confirmed that he was single again earlier this month, following his split from 30-year-old marketing executive Rebecca Kearns last July, after eight months of dating.

He split from estranged wife Jessica Rose Moor, the mother of his three-year-old son Eddie, in January 2016.

But Nick is not short of female admirers.

Earlier this week, Loose Women star Coleen Nolan expressed her interest in the TV presenter during a live TV interview.
