Harry Redknapp believes John Terry would be a great fit for his former club Bournemouth and is convinced the Chelsea legend will be a ‘top class’ manager.
Terry is currently plying his trade at Aston Villa, where he’s working as assistant manager to Dean Smith.
With Villa in genuine contention for European places this season, Terry’s stock has grown – particularly given they have conceded the joint-second fewest goals in the division.
Only table-toppers Manchester City (13) have conceded fewer goals than Villa (21) in the first half of the season and former Chelsea centre-back Terry has been credited with their improvements in that department this season.
And Redknapp, who had spells with Bournemouth as a player and a manager, thinks Terry would be a great appointment to replace Jason Tindall, who was sacked after just six months in charge.
‘Well I think John would be a fantastic manager,’ Redknapp told TalkSport.
‘I’ve said it from when I first really got to know him and saw how professional he was. Even just being around him at different things I’ve done like charity games, a game at Old Trafford I managed one day when John played.
‘His professionalism, everything about him, I just think – given the opportunity – he’d be a really top class manager.
‘If I was a chairman looking for a manager now, John Terry would be right there at the top of my list.’

Bournemouth have slipped to sixth in the Championship amid a run of five straight defeats in all compeititons but Redknapp thinks the target should still be promotion.
‘I’m disappointed for Jason, he and Eddie played a major part in taking them where they went right to the Premier League.
‘It was a blow when Eddie left, then Jason took over and unfortunately it’s a results business and the last few weeks have been disappointing.
‘They have got a great squad and Jason is an excellent coach and unfortunately the results haven’t gone his way recently.
‘I’m sure he’ll bounce back but they have got a really good squad of players, I think. A squad that’s more than capable of getting out of this division.’
