Last night’s episode of Love Island 2022 provided twist after twist as Afia Tonkmor was dumped from the ITV2 dating show.
Following the 25-year-old’s exit, narrator Iain Stirling revealed that two new bombshells would be joining the villa in the form of Jay Younger and Remi Lambert.
So, who is new islander Jay – and how can you find him on Instagram?
Here is everything you need to know.
Who is Jay Younger?
Hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, Jay is an investment analyst.
Jay has said he’s at a point in his life now where he wants to find someone to have fun with in life, and ‘doing it in Majorca in the villa is a great opportunity.’
Speaking ahead of his entrance, he said: ‘I think I am going to be a supportive Islander, I think I am going to bring a lot of fun.
‘Hopefully some good laughs along the way and maybe some indecisive decisions.’
Jay added that like fellow islander Gemma Owen, the daughter of England football star Michael Owen, he has a claim to fame in the form of football.
He revealed his grandad was no other than Tommy Younger – who played for Liverpool and was captain of Scotland back in the 1950s.
Jay said his grandad was in the hall of fame for both Liverpool and Hibernian Football Club.
Sorry, this video isn't available any more.
How old is Jay Younger?
Jay is 28, making him the oldest contestant in this year’s series so far.
The youngest islander in the villa is Gemma, who is 19 years old.
How to follow Jay Younger on Instagram
You can find Jay on Instagram at the handle @jayyounger_, where he currently has more than 3,000 followers at the time of writing – a number that is sure to climb as he enters the villa.
Jay’s friends and family are currently running his account, writing on the post announcing he would be joining the Love Island cast: ‘We’re rooting for you Jay, and so proud. Go find love in the villa. Team Younger’
