With Love Island 2022 being well under way, fans have been doing some digging on their favourite contestants.
From Londoners to the odd Italian, some of the hopefuls looking for love have travelled farther than others to be in the villa this year.
Here is where all of the Love Island stars are from:
Andrew Le Page – Guernsey
Real estate agent Andrew is from the Channel Isle of Guernsey but has recently been working in Dubai before the show.
Things have been up and down for him in the villa as he currently faces the prospect of losing Tasha Ghouri, who he is coupled up with, to new bombshell Charlie Radnedge.
Antigoni Buxton – London
Singer-songwriter Antigoni is a Cypriot from London and is the daughter of celebrity chef Tonia Buxton, and joined the show as a bombshell.
Revealing why she joined the show, Antigoni said: ‘I really just want to say “yes” to things. Why not? It’ll be fun. I’m a Cypriot girl and I love being in the sun. I’ve got nothing to lose!’
Charlie Radnedge – London
Another bombshell, 28-year-old Charlie is a real estate agent from Chelsea in London.
Addressing his posh accent, Charlie revealed: ‘Would I say I’m posh? I don’t think so. Maybe a bit posh, but I dunno, maybe it’s just my accent.’
Dami Hope – Dublin
Microbiologist Dami is not only super smart but he also has one of the best accents in the villa, hailing from Ireland.
He also won the hearts of viewers after gushing about Indiyah Polack during a date with bombshell Antigoni Buxton and making it clear there was only one girl on his mind.
Danica Taylor – Leicester
Dancer Danica is from Leicester and at 21 years old is the second youngest girl in the villa after 19-year-old Gemma Owen.
Joining as a bombshell, there could be romance on the horizon with Davide Sanclimenti after the pair shared a kiss this week.
Davide Sanclimenti – From Italy but lives in Manchester
Italian stallion Davide is a business owner from Rome, Italy, who now lives in Manchester.
With his sexy accent granting him a legion of fans, Davide admitted: ‘I’m good looking and I’ve realised since I first arrived in Manchester, a lot of English girls actually love me. They love to be around me and I love to be around them.’
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – Essex
Bombshell Ekin-Su flew in to the villa from Essex to ruffle some feathers – and she has certainly done that.
The actress, who previously played a serial killer in a Turkish soap opera, has currently set her sights on Jay Younger.
Gemma Owen – From Chester but lives in Wales
Dressage rider Gemma is the youngest contestant in the villa at just 19 years old and hails from Chester.
The daughter of retired footballer Michael Owen lives in a jaw-dropping mansion called Lower Soughton Hall in North Wales with her family.
Indiyah Polack – London
Hotel waitress Indiyah, who is currently coupled up with Dami Hope, is from London.
She admitted she doesn’t have a type before entering the show, explaining: ‘Everyone I’ve dated have all been quite different. I don’t think I have ever been out with two guys who are quite the same.’
Jacques O’Neill – Walney
Rugby player Jacques joined the show as a bombshell after having previously dated Gemma Owen before the show.
From Walney, the sportsman has not been shy of confrontation on the show, butting heads with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu this week.
Jay Younger – Edinburgh
Another Islander with an epic accent, investment analyst Jay is from Edinburgh in Scotland.
Jay has caught all our attention this week, after a big blow up with Ekin-Su when he announced he wanted to get to know Paige Thorne.
Luca Bish – Brighton
The cheekiest chap in the villa, fishmonger Luca Bish and his dazzling smile are from Brighton.
The 23-year-old is currently coupled up with Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma, and has left the nation in stitches after a conversation where he seemed to think he would know more footballer than the former-England-player.
Paige Thorne – Swansea
Paramedic Paige, who has been a fan-favourite from the start of the series, is from Swansea, if you hadn’t already guessed from her Welsh accent.
In the most recent episode, the 24-year-old was left in tears after confusion over whether she should get to know Jay Younger after she already had her mind set on Jacques O’Neill.
Tasha Ghouri – Thirsk
Natasha ‘Tasha’ Ghouri is a model and dancer from Thirsk, North Yorkshire, who is currently coupled up with Andrew Le Page, but could she have her head turned by new boy Charlie?
Back in 2021, Tasha went viral and garnered praise as a model for ASOS – as shots of her wearing some cute, £5 mushroom-shaped earrings also showed her cochlear implant.
Amber Beckford – London
Amber is a nanny from London.
She decided to sign up for this year’s Love Island because now ‘just feels like the right time’, but unfortunately was dumped from the villa alongside Ikenna Ekwonna before she had the chance to meet her dream man.
Ikenna Ekwonna – Nottingham
Ikenna Ekwonna is a pharmaceutical salesman from Nottingham, who was paired up with IndiyahPolack before being evicted from the villa with Amber Beckford.
Ahead of entering the villa, he said: ‘Hopefully, I’m going to bring spontaneity and excitement [to the villa], he enthuses. I’m not really shy to speak to people and I don’t really care too much about what people think.’
Remi Lambert – Manchester
While he may not have been in the villa for too long, having entered alongside fellow bombshell Jay Younger, Remi definitely made his mark.
The rapper from Manchester took to Indiyah Polack before she recoupled with Ikenna Ekwonna, dumping Remi from the villa.
Afia Tonkmor – London
Another contestant who didn’t stay in the villa for too long was Afia, who works as a lounge host at a private members’ club.
Ahead of her entrance into the Love Island villa, she admitted that she saw coming onto the show as a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’.
Liam Llewellyn – Newport
Masters student Liam Llewellyn lasted just four days in the villa before he made the decision to quit.
The Welsh islander broke the news to the others ahead of the first recoupling, telling them the fact he ‘wasn’t feeling quite himself’ had made it harder for him to give his all to the experience.

‘This isn’t a spur-of-the-moment type thing. So yeah, I’ve made the decision I’m gonna leave,’ he told the islanders, leaving many of them in tears.
Liam was left single and vulnerable after the show’s first bombshell Davide Sanclimenti nabbed partner Gemma Owen from him.
