Charlene White’s Loose Women co-stars have showered her in support and praise after the first I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! eviction.
Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly entered the jungle on Friday night to reveal the Loose Women host would be sent back to the UK after nearly two weeks Down Under.
On leaving the Australian jungle, she told the Geordie duo: ‘This is really, really weird.’
During her time in the jungle, Charlene had grilled former health secretary Matt Hancock, and took on a bushtucker trial with Boy George.
She also caused controversy by refusing to sleep in the RV with Hancock, later explaining it was due to impartiality concerns since she is a journalist.
She’s since been showered in support from her Loose Women co-stars, who branded her ‘amazing.’
The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge took to Instagram to share her disappointment, writing: ‘Noooo…@charlenewhite She was absolutely amazing in there!’
Strictly Come Dancing star Kaye Adams echoed: ‘You should feel very proud of what you achieved @charlenewhite. ‘
Poking fun at her own early exit from this year’s Strictly, she added: ‘Never easy being the first out… I should know!
‘Can’t wait to have you back in the @loosewomen studio and more importantly reunited with your gorgeous children!’
Meanwhile Denise Welch, who has previously defended Charlene after she refused to sleep in the RV with Hancock, wrote: ‘Charlene missed her babies.
‘She stuck to her principles. People have very short memories regarding Hancock. I’m very proud of my friends Charlene and Sue.’
Fellow Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha wrote: ‘Awww just seen @charlenewhite is leaving you did yourself proud. You can get home and squeeze those babies of yours !!!! Well done hunny!’
In the latest episode, Charlene finally addressed why she had opted to sleep in the hammock, rather than in the more spacious and comfortable RV.
She said: ‘I’m an impartial journalist, I can’t be sharing a room with a sitting MP because that just doesn’t sit well with me impartiality wise.
