Kym Marsh was moved to tears over her friendship with Strictly Come Dancing partner Graziano Di Prima, as they reflected on their incredible journey.
The Coronation Street actress and the Strictly professional were eliminated from the competition last weekend, becoming the 10th contestant to get the boot this series.
During Monday’s episode of Strictly: It Takes Two, Kym, 46, and Graziano, 28, watched a highlights reel of their best times on the show including their final performance, which saw them in a tense dance-off with Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.
Returning to the studio, host Rylan Clark was visibly emotional as Kym broke down in tears, wiping her eyes with a tissue before explaining how she sees Graziano as part of her family now.
‘I do, I genuinely do,’ she told Rylan with her dance partner sitting beside her, also emotional.
She continued: ‘He’s coming to stay with us tonight, aren’t you? Coming to have some family time. Honestly, I really have met a genuinely unique person. You’re a very, very special man and I’ll never ever forget what you’ve done for me on this journey. It’s been incredible.’
Graziano managed to compose himself to thank Kym for making his experience the best he’s had on the BBC One programme for years.
He told her: ‘I’ve been waiting for a really good season of Strictly for four years. It sounds crazy but… we had the best time and it is because of her. So if I think back, it’s been the most amazing journey ever because I found a friend for life.
‘Finally, my brain is clean because I said, you know what, I had the best season ever… It’s just because of her.’
