*Warning: Contains spoilers for Succession.*
Succession fans have been left reeling from episode four of its fourth and final season as the details of Logan Roy’s last wishes were revealed.
Last week in episode three, titled Connor’s Wedding, Logan, the family patriarch and the closest thing Succession had to an antagonist, unexpectedly died.
As well as leaving a crucial takeover deal in the balance, Logan’s sudden death also left the future of his company, Waystar Royco, in serious doubt.
Now, after more than three seasons of wondering who would succeed Logan as CEO of the company, episode four, Honeymoon States, finally revealed all.
Or did it? Viewers were initially convinced that, despite all their arguments and personal difficulties, Logan had named his son Kendall as the new leader.
But while some fans think Kendall’s name was underlined in Logan’s wishes, many believe his name had actually been crossed out, removing him as successor.
It’s a game that even Succession’s official Twitter account has decided to play, teasing viewers with a question of its own: ‘Underlined or crossed out?’
One fan demanded to see the full list of Logan’s wishes: ‘Post the entire piece of paper. We need something to hold us over until next week.’
‘As a teacher, article editor, and graffiti writer who has crossed out and underlined many words on both paper and walls: it is underlined,’ said one expert.
However, on the other side of the debate are fans who are convinced that Logan made a last-minute decision to prevent Kendall from replacing him.
What do you think? Was Kendall's name crossed out or underlined?

One superfan looked back through the series to find evidence: ‘This is the same letter Logan looked at before he went into the office in [the first episode].’
