Margot Robbie stunned Seoul as she arrived at the premiere for her latest movie Barbie on Sunday dressed in a real-life recreation of one of the iconic doll’s outfits.
Seriously, yes, and we cannot cope with this level of perfection.
The 33-year-old actress was a vision in glittering pink as she stepped onto the matching carpet in South Korea for the release of the highly-anticipated film.
Joined by director Greta Gerwig and co-stars America Ferrera and Tom Ackerley, the Hollywood A-lister thrilled fans as she posed for snaps in her fitting ensemble that radiated the movie’s theme.
Margot arrived at the event in a hot pink business suit with white lapels and detailing, matched with two-tone heels, a mini handbag and an adorable white boater on her head with a pink and white spotty ribbon.
Totally committed to the theming, she even carried a chunky rhinestone-emblazoned fake mobile phone in one hand, in keeping with the 1980s origins of this Barbie, and her penchant for enjoying a phone accessory.
She then changed into a gorgeously glitzy dress featuring a hot-pink tulle skirt that gathered around her calves and had a bedazzled bodice in a lighter shade of the Barbie colour, held up by thin spaghetti straps.
She accessorised her look with bright pink open-toed kitten heels and a glittery clutch bag.
For those fans in the know, it was instantly clear that this was a pitch-perfect homage to the Day-to-Night Barbie first released in 1985.
The part custom Versace look was everything it needed to be an more, styled by fashion expert and stylist Andrew Mukamal with an exquisite eye for detail.
On Monday, he also shared another side-by-side on his Instagram, revealing her pink studded suit and matching hat to be a modern recreation of the vintage Sparkling Pink Barbie doll, originally from 1964, but rereleased and reimagined in 2009.
Her arrival in Asia followed an appearance in Sydney that had fans going wild for her doll-inspired looks as she strolled down the red carpet.
On Friday the star pre-empted her Seoul outfit with a glittering pale pink dress at the Barbie Celebration Party held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in the Australian city.
Smiling her signature Margot smile, the actress was stunning in a sparkling metallic strapless minidress that she paired with clear heels.
The press tour came as she expressed her true reasoning behind wanting to be involved in the highly-anticipated flick.
She revealed she would not have wanted to make the Barbie movie if toy company Mattel had not introduced more diversity with the world-famous doll.
The Australian actress explained that she had not wanted to present a singular image of ‘what Barbie is’ and have it be ‘what women should aspire to be and look like’.

Speaking to Time magazine, the actress said that she and director Greta had told Mattel’s chief executive Ynon Kreiz that the film had to ‘acknowledge certain things’.
‘In that very first meeting, we impressed upon Ynon we are going to honour the legacy of your brand, but if we don’t acknowledge certain things—if we don’t say it, someone else is going to say it,’ she told the toy-makers.
Barbie will hit cinemas on July 21, 2023.
