Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has named the player who he thinks is better than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Raya is hoping to help Arsenal land their first Premier League title in 20 years this season – but the Gunners need City to slip up – and Haaland is back on top form.
Haaland scored four times for Pep Guardiola’s side last time out, including a first-half hat-trick which saw one of his goals described as ‘Cristiano Ronaldo-like’.
Arsenal currently sit top of the table on 83 points with just two top-flight fixtures remaining but City are just one point behind and have three matches left to play.
The mind games are already well underway with Mikel Arteta watching City’s last game against Wolves wearing the ‘pyjamas’ of their title rivals’ opponents.
That didn’t work, though, as Haaland scored four goals in their 5-1 victory, moving well clear of Cole Palmer in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
But Arsenal star Raya is convinced that there is one player in world football who is better than Haaland – telling ESPN that Kylian Mbappe is the superior striker.
Raya was asked to pick between the two players in a video posted on TikTok and Arsenal fans were loving the fact that the Spaniard snubbed Haaland.
‘He doesn’t choose Manchester players,’ one user wrote in the comments while another Arsenal fan, @rawiszn, insisted that Raya was correct in all his picks.
Paris-Saint Germain striker Mbappe has registered a remarkable 255 goals and 108 assists across 305 games for the French side.

Norway international Haaland, meanwhile, has conjured up 88 goals and 15 assists in 94 appearances for City so far.
Speaking after City’s win over Wolves, Haaland said: ‘Not bad, 25 goals this season. We keep going.
‘I’ve got a not-so-bad manager who pushes me and look at the players around me, without them it would not be possible. I try to develop every day, I had some problems but let’s not focus on them, focus on the positive things.’
