EastEnders star Heather Peace has revealed there is a moment where her character Eve Unwin believes fiancée Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) has destroyed their relationship by doing the unthinkable.
Their engagement is set to be rocked in scenes to air next week, after the truth about Suki and Nish’s blessing is accidentally revealed by Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).
As fans know, Nish recently tricked Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) into revealing The Six’s involvement in Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death.
He then used this information to blackmail ex-wife Suki into getting back together, before having their relationship blessed – all while Eve was away in Yorkshire caring for her mother, who Nish previously ordered to have attacked.
Nish has since gone to prison after confessing to Keanu’s murder after a shock twist in the BBC soap’s Halloween episode.
When Eve returns home on Monday, she senses an atmosphere at the Panesars’, believing it is based on the version of events that Suki told her about Nish killing Keanu at Christmas.
Previewing the scenes, Heather reveals: ‘She even says, “Suki has told me about everything that’s gone on with Nish, and let’s put it all to bed”. That’s when Avani reveals that Suki and Nish had a blessing.’
Asked if Eve believes Suki cheated on her with Nish, Heather admits she fears the worst.
‘There is a moment where Eve considers that might have happened,’ she says. ‘I think the thought flashes across Eve’s brain.’
Heather adds that Eve is ‘absolutely confused’ about the blessing.
‘Eve doesn’t understand the motivation behind it, so at this point, she is reeling and just wants to clear the room to find out what the hell is going on and what’s happened. It comes out of the blue,’ she explains.
‘What we have to remember is that Eve has been here before where she and Suki were together and then she went back to Nish. When they were having the affair, Suki was still sleeping with Nish, so Eve has dealt with this before.

‘The jealousy she feels is based on what Eve has already been through with Suki. She had to live with the heartbreak of knowing her soul mate, the woman she is completely in love with, was sharing a bed with Nish.’
However, even more secrets will come spilling out next week, which could spell the end for ‘Sukeve’…
