As the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle filled up last night with faces like Coleen Rooney, McFly star Danny Jones and N Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, Ant and Dec appeared to take a swipe at one would-be contestant: Tommy Fury.
In October it was reported the 25-year-old boxer and former Love Island star ‘pulled out’ of the series in favour of a ‘more lucrative offer’ – which was thought to be his fight with YouTuber KSI.
While introducing former boxing champion Barry McGuigan, ITV host Ant McPartlin said: ‘I can’t believe Barry McGuigan is doing the show!’
‘I know,’ responded Dec Donnelly, adding: ‘Well it was either do this or fight the YouTuber on Netflix.’
Fans immediately took to X to point out the jibe, as @Tiggy_wig wrote: ‘It was either this or fighting a YouTuber on Netflix.’ Im so glad #ImACeleb is back.’
‘Fight a YouTuber on Netflix … the burn,’ wrote @robpw2.
‘”It was either that, or a fight a YouTuber on Netflix.” These producers are really us,’ wrote @Erel124.
‘”It was either do this or fight a youtuber on Netflix” naaaah Dec really went there,’ added @nicci_avamax.
While no such fight has officially been announced, it’s reported to be in store after ‘talks’ took place between the two cruiserweights.
The last time KSI and Tommy fought was 2023, when the reality TV star won with a points victory over the YouTuber.
Fans were hoping an I’m A Celeb stint from the boxer would have revealed secrets about his shock split with fiancé Molly-Mae Hague.
Molly Mae, who Tommy also shares daughter Bambi with, suggested the boxer would open up about the reasons behind their split when he’s ready.
‘No one will ever really know what went down apart from Tommy and I, and that’s how we’d like to keep it, for Bambi’s sake,’ she told British Vogue.
But, she added: ‘I do think that he will talk about things eventually. I do think that when he’s ready, like, maybe more will be said. But I think that’s for him to do on his terms.

‘It’s not like it’s gossip, it’s real life and it’s, you know, it’s a really deep situation. It’s really sad.’
The famous influencer couple – and the most successful to come out of ITV show Love Island in its history – were due to get married next September.
Molly-Mae, also 25, said the circumstances around their August split were ‘a bit of a shock’ and that she was unsure how she would get through it, but did with the help of a close circle of friends.
When the pair broke up, it was rumoured Tommy had cheated on Molly-Mae, although the boxer said these allegations were ‘completely false’ and said he still loved her until his ‘final breath’.
In an interview with MailOnline ahead of the release of his memoir, Tommy added: ‘The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words. The whole world will, I reckon.
‘What the public thinks is going on isn’t what is going on. It’s not something I envisaged happening, but it didn’t come out of nowhere.
‘It’s a thing that was there previously to all this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is between me and Molly.’
Elsewhere in I’m A Celebrity, radio presenter Dean McCullough didn’t hold back on Wagatha Christie comments while choosing fellow campmate Coleen Rooney to be his partner in an initial sky-diving task.

Faced with a decision between Coleen and fellow Radio 1 DJ Melvin, Dean threw caution to the wind, said, ‘ ‘Melvin, I’m so, so sorry!’, before grabbing Coleen’s hand and running off as he yelled: ‘Wagatha Christie, you’re coming with me!’
Other contestants opting to spend the next few weeks eating testicles and being covered in creepy-crawlies are Oti Mabuse, Alan Halsall, Jane Moore, Melvin Odoom, and GK Barry.

Podcast host and social media influencer GK Barry, real name Grace Keeling, has already been declared the ‘winner’ by fans after some dramatic antics – and a lot of screaming – when faced with a mystery box of wriggly creatures.
Upon arriving at the camp and looking around, she said: ‘I knew the dunny was going to be bad but I didn’t know it was going to be that bad.
‘Everything here is so much worse than it looks on the telly.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
