Coleen Rooney proved her detective skills were not just a fluke on I’m A Celebrity – and her impressive talent could just land her a major ITV gig.
The Wagatha Christie icon is currently in the jungle competing for the crown alongside fellow contestants such as GK Barry, Danny Jones, Oti Mabuse and Tulisa Contostavlos.
The 38-year-old made headlines for her feud with Rebekah Vardy which involved a months-long social media investigation to point the finger of betrayal at the fellow WAG.
Now she’s back at her Sherlock shenanigans again.
In the reality show, contestants Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles were put into a separate camp which was a far cry from the bug infested, dingy make-up they were expecting.
Instead they were treated to luxury with soft gowns, baths and peaceful sleeps – all while pretending it was rougher as the original camp.
But Coleen was on the case and just couple minutes into chatting to the pampered duo she suspected that all was not as it seemed.
Fans were mightily impressed at her ability to sniff out the lie.
‘Hahahaah yes Coleen, nothing gets past the UK’s greatest ever detective,’ @Howarewe wrote on X.
‘Coleen catching a spark and blowing the whole operation based off a 2 minute conversation,’ @lewismac_ added.
‘If you put Coleen in the next series of Line of Duty, the series would be over after episode one. Nothing gets past Coleen,’ @imtherealanon shared.
‘Coleen being the one to foil the luxury camp is just peak television,’ @tvqueertiques agreed.
‘Not Coleen saying the other camp aren’t telling the truth and that she’s got a funny feeling about it??? She really is Agatha Christie,’ @lottiehall praised.
And @queenie_2312 declared: ‘Coleen wasn’t called Wagatha Christie for nothing !’
‘Wagatha Christie strikes again,’ @karrottcake echoed.
‘Not Wagatha Christie solving more mysteries than the scooby gang,’ @cynicalsinner89 commented.
And her national appeal could spell success for her after the series comes to a close.
One insider told the Sun that the media personality is being eyed up as an ITV presenter for several shows backed by advertisers – especially making use of her fashion influence.
‘Coleen already brings with her the Midas touch when it comes to endorsing the kinds of products which ITV’s advertisers sell,’ the source explained.
‘She has over a million followers on Instagram alone, and most of them scan her pictures and observe everything she wears and buys.’
But unlike the ‘glamourous Love Islanders’ and ‘soap stars’ with similarly big followings, Coleen has the ‘girl-next-door charm of someone like Holly [Willoughby]’.
The insider continued: ‘[She’ll] connect with millions of ordinary shoppers in a way that few other stars do. But they’ll also be watching her time in the jungle to see how she fares and just what the public reaction is to her.
‘There are vast sums of money at stake with the deals for the new batch of ITV shows which they are considering her up for.’
The mother-of-four has seen major success with her Disney Plus show, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, with sources claiming she was paid in the millions to tell her story, per the Standard.
Her time on I’m A Celebrity is also going well so far. She has also opened up about her marriage to footballer Wayne Rooney to her campmates.
In particular, she discussed her marriage surviving the Manchester United player’s past behaviour which has included him admitting to drink driving while behind the wheel of another woman’s car in 2017.
She told Oti: ‘Since the first mistake he’s made, that’s been in the public, people have not forgiven.

‘It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years… we’re a team.’
Metro has reached out to ITV for comment. Coleen Rooney’s representatives declined to comment.
