There’s even more trouble ahead for Shona and David Platt’s (Julia Goulding and Jack P. Shepherd) marriage in Coronation Street next month.
Shona looks set to cheat on her husband as their relationship implodes following the reappearance of her killer son Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison).
He was jailed back in 2016 for killing David’s first wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) in broad daylight.
David has been keeping a huge secret from Shona, after blocking Clayton’s attempts to make contact with his mother, leading to him trying to take his life in prison.
Things begin to unravel between the couple over the coming days, as Shona resolves to be there for her son during his recovery.
Shona is even arrested after shoving the prison governor, which only drives a further wedge between her and David.
Later next month, things are tense when David tells her she’d better sleep on the sofa.
As she beds down for the night, she receives a mysterious text and disappears into the night.
The next thing we know, Shona is knocking on someone’s hotel room door…
Who is she visiting, and will she cheat on David?
Actress Julia Goulding, who plays Shona, previously teased that Clayton’s reappearance would have huge ramifications for Shona and David’s marriage.

‘The sad thing is they’ve been so solid for so long Shona is David’s final crutch. But he’s destroyed it himself in my opinion. I really am Team Shona in this!’
Coronation Street airs these scenes from Monday 9 December at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
