Troubled Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) behaviour continues to raise concerns from his worried loved ones in EastEnders next month as he makes a rash decision.
The Walford hardman has been at the centre of a heartbreaking loneliness storyline on the BBC soap, which has seen him shut out the outside world.
It was a difficult Christmas for Phil, who on top of his feelings of isolation, was faced with the uncomfortable fact that his ex-wife Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is now in a relationship with his cousin Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian).
After spending Christmas Day with the couple and the rest of the Mitchell clan, Phil retreated into himself.
Sharon has attempted to get her ex to open up about his struggles, but so far with little success, as he’s been determined to deal with his problems alone.
Things take another turn next month when Phil’s personal struggles spill over into his business and he makes a hasty call.
After word reaches Billy Mitchell and later Sharon about his reckless business offer, she is furious and accosts him The Vic.
Her anger soon turns to concern, however, and she attempts to enlist the help of Teddy, Billy and Jay Brown’s (Jamie Borthwick) to help.

However, Sharon is shocked when her request isn’t openly received.
Recent weeks have already seen Phil part with his nightclub Peggy’s, which he sold to Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) despite warnings from Sharon he was not ready to give up the link to his late mother.
Will Sharon be able to get through to him this time?
