A man has been charged after shocked dog walkers alerted cops to an alleged knife incident in a busy Lanarkshire park.
Shortly before 10.30am on Monday, December 23, officers were called to a wooded area near North Calder Road, Viewpark.
Dog walkers claimed they spotted a man carrying a knife with a four to six-inch blade.

A 53-year-old man was searched and allegedly found to be in possession of a knife.
It is claimed he failed to provide his details and was arrested and taken to a local police station where his identity was confirmed.
He was then charged with having a bladed article in a public place, failing to provide his details, and it is alleged he also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The man was held in custody and was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve.
"Around 10.25am on Monday, December 23 we were called to a report of a man in possession of a knife in a wooded area near to North Calder Road, Viewpark.
“Officers attended and a 53-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.
“He was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday, December 24.”
