"Squadrons of alien activity" were spotted over New Jersey in footage showing several UFOs in action.
Video uploaded to Reddit shows four objects floating in the sky with two moving steadily to the left, while the other pair remained static. The quartet of UFOs were said to have been moving like squadrons "in and out of various formations" whilst "making no sound in the night sky." The 14-second clip is said to have been taken on Sunday (December 8).
Viewers were immediately drawn to the comments section to give their take on what was going on in the sky, and whether they were aliens from outer space.

One user wrote: "I just really want to know what’s going on."
To which another responded: "Just aliens doing military drills. Keep playing call of duty."
A subsequent user requested: "Please take away our leaders!
And a fourth mentioned: "I have a video of the same thing in Illinois."
While a fifth added: "Saw the same thing north of Seattle with 7 lights behaving the same way like 6 months ago. No video though. Convinced myself it was choppers."
A number of people in the thread suggested the most logical explanation for the activity being that of aircraft.
One individual also debunked the idea of 'secret drone' activity being carried out around a military location by pointing out: "If you were flying secret drones around military bases etc why put bright lights on them?"
