Godalming
Godalming was the first town in the world to have a public electricity supply, and is known for the Pepperpot in the High Street and a memorial to Titanic wireless operator Jack Phillips. To the south-west is the Hindhead Tunnel, which opened in 2011. Nearby Haslemere is the most southerly town in Surrey, with a popular High Street at its heart.
