A 13-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to violent disorder following the unrest at a recent protest in Aldershot. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted the charge at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 13.
This follows the disorder that erupted at a protest outside Potters International Hotel on Wednesday, July 31. Seven men have also been charged with violent disorder, six of whom appeared at the same court on Tuesday.
These men are Alby Brannan, 18, of Winchester Road in Ash, Joe Howell, 19, of Bareham Drive in Ash, Kieron Marney, 25, of Fairview Road in Ash, Jamie Lee Turvey, 34, of Montgomery Road in Farnborough, Cameron Bowling, 40, of Broadhurst in Farnborough and Clive Patfield, 60, of The Chantrys in Farnham. Additionally, Howell was charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The six men gave no indication of plea for the charge of violent disorder. They are due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 4.
The teenage girl is due to be sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday, September 30. Perrie Fisher, 28, was charged with violent disorder and was due to appear at the court on Tuesday.
After he failed to appear, the court issued a warrant for his arrest. Steven Tiquin, 40, of Grosvenor Road in Aldershot, was charged with assaulting police officers who were investigating reports of disorder at the protest as they visited the hotel on Saturday, August 3.
There, they were assaulted by a man, leaving one officer with minor injuries which required treatment at a hospital. Tiquin was charged with four counts of assaulting an emergency worker, affray and a racially aggravated public order offence.
He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 4. Police added: "We note this incident has attracted commentary on social media – we understand the community’s concern, however urge people to please not speculate on the circumstances through online commentary."
