With a plethora of Christmas events to choose from, deciding which ones to mark on your calendar can be quite the task.

However, if you're in search of an budget-friendly day out where you can meet Santa, indulge in festive merriment and create wonderful memories, I would highly recommend the Winter Tail event at Chessington World of Adventures.

I had the pleasure of attending the theme park's Christmas event over the weekend with my 2-year-old toddler, and was utterly enchanted by the magical atmosphere.

Our first stop for the day was a meeting with the jolly old man himself Santa Claus. Guided by Father Christmas' Elves through a breathtaking winter wonderland of snow-dusted trees, we were eventually led to Santa, who was comfortably seated by a warm wood fire in his Grotto.

My toddler was somewhat reserved and didn't fancy posing for a photo with Father Christmas, but he did muster up the courage to request some apples for Christmas, which should certainly help Santa cut costs.

Next, we embarked on a journey to the Enchanted Hollow, where we witnessed the Elves busily working in their Toy Workshop. We observed them crafting all the toys and even received a gift ourselves.

We then made our way to the Christmas Village, home to a festive Silent Disco, Father Christmas' reindeers, and carol singers with whom you can join in song and dance. There's also a Christmas Panto to entertain everyone, as well as a Cocomelon Christmas sing-a-long.

In addition to the festive offerings, Chessington's regular rides and attractions are all available for children's entertainment, including its World of Jumanji ride and The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure.

Visitors can also explore the Sea Life centre and greet the penguins and monkeys at Chessington Zoo.

Tickets for Chessington's Winter Tail start from a mere £25pp. Alternatively, you can book a Winter's Tail short break from £42pp (based on a family of four), if you fancy putting your feet up at the end of the day.

So don't delay, secure your festive ticket today!
