About us
Our mission is to make Europe's workplaces safer, healthier and more productive. We do this by bringing together and sharing knowledge and information, to promote a culture of risk prevention. Located in Bilbao, Spain, we have a dedicated staff of occupational safety and health (OSH), communication and administrative specialists. At the national level, we are represented through a network of focal points, which are usually the lead OSH bodies in the individual Member States. The Agency is a tripartite organisation, this means that we work with governments, employers and workers representatives. We are a single reference point for OSH information. We commission, collect and publish new scientific research and statistics on OSH risks. Happy to join the Executive Director of #EU-OSHA European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), William Cockburn, at the Heads of EU Agencies Meeting at the Berlaymont in Brussels. The EU Agencies Network is surprisingly vibrant and I must say, loaded with policy experts in their respective fields. Some of Europe's best minds work in the Agencies, which are spread all over the continent. Today over 50 directors and heads are meeting to discuss improved governance, strengthened policy priorities, better work arrangements and outputs but also #cybersecurity or energy. Also getting some disruptive but really welcome exchanges with MEPs like Helder Sousa Silva or world renowned speakers like Ann Mettler. Tough times around the world but no doom and gloom in this room : just dedication to do better and improve the lives of European citizens (and beyond)!
