🎉 Beyond Thrilled to Share Our Latest Research Presented at EuMIC 2024!🎉 I’m excited to share that my latest research paper, co-authored with my colleague Woojun Lee, titled "Wireless Beamforming for Electromagnetic Field Focusing in Brain Tissue," was recently presented at the 2024 54th European Microwave Week (EuMC)! This paper investigates the possibilities of wireless deep brain stimulation (DBS) using a hemispherical phased antenna array design. Our work presents novel optimization approaches for improving the precision and effectiveness of wireless stimulation by directing electromagnetic fields into specific brain regions. Through varying frequencies and configurations, we’ve gained valuable insights into the interaction between electromagnetic waves and human brain tissue. Our simulations demonstrate these optimization approaches' enhanced performance, allowing for accurate electric field focus without needing highly packed sample locations. This finding has significant implications for future DBS applications that are more effective and non-invasive. A special thanks to Professor Dr. Jeffrey Walling, whose advice and ideas were invaluable in making this project come alive! Delighted to share my latest research publication! Our paper titled "Frequency-Domain Photoacoustic Signal Analysis for Temperature Sensing" has been published in the IEEE Sensors Journal! Huge thanks to my mentor, Jayaprakash Naidu sir, for his invaluable guidance and support throughout this research journey. Accurate temperature monitoring is critical for success in cancer treatments based on thermal ablation such as High-Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU), Photothermal Therapy (PTT), and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA). 📢 New Publication Alert! 📢 Excited to share that our latest work has been published in IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems! 🚀 In this paper, we present an end-to-end control solution for lower-limb rehabilitation exoskeletons, offering personalized, task-independent, and compliant assistance for users.
