The Spice Girls celebrated the 25th anniversary of their legendary song Stop with an alternative video.

90s icons Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton are seen at a new angle for the special anniversary clip.

In the video, the band are seen standing in line in the middle of a street while they sing the lyrics to the song.

Groups of children played around them as they showed off their dancing skills in elaborate outfits.

The five women smiled at each other and lip-synced the words before they joined the little kids in their playground games.

Stop's original music video was filmed at Carnew Street in Dublin, Ireland, and had the women knocking on people's doors as they sang.

Sharing the alternative clip, Emma said on social media: "Stop is 25 today!!! To celebrate its 25th anniversary, here is a new, fun video from our original shoot 25 years ago!"

Fans have been hoping for a Spice Girls reunion, with rumours circling that the iconic band would grace the stage at Glastonbury Festival.

Mel’s B and C have both fanned the flames in interviews and on-air discussions by teasing the possibility that the whole group could reunite for a major performance.

It was even reported that Victoria Beckham was tempted to join the other women on stage.

However, Glastobury organiser Emily Eavis immediately shot down the rumours that they'll be performing at this summer's event.

Asked if there was any truth to the rumours of a Spice Girls reunion taking place at Worthy Farm, she bluntly told The Sun: "That is not a conversation we’re having."

Last December, Mel B was asked on Channel 4 's The Big Narstie Show if the Spice Girls were to reunite at Glastonbury and she enthusiastically replied: "Yes, I think so! But I’ve got to convince the four b*****s to do it with me!"

While months earlier, Mel C had teased the idea of a Glastonbury performance complete with Vicky B, saying in an interview: "100 per cent I’d like to do it. I believe that is too big a gig for VB to be busy that night."
